In a city where houses seem to go up or expand overnight, we take the time to build things right. We listen to you, and we listen to your home. With a blend of time-tested craftsmanship and modern building techniques, every space we create is built to hold, support, and enrich your life. Sometimes, the best solutions aren’t the most obvious. Maybe expanding out makes more sense than going up. Maybe a full kitchen gut isn’t necessary to create the dream kitchen you envision. We value your trust and strive to earn it through transparent communication and professional guidance bolstered by our decades of experience. We’re here to listen carefully and guide you toward the most thoughtful and efficient path to your dream home—one that honors both your vision and the needs of your house. Building something you love isn't just part of our job. It's our biggest motivator. Making sure you enjoy the process from start to finish? That’s the other part. More than half of our clients are repeat customers, and we hope you’ll become one of them. Whether we’re remodeling your home, adding an ADU, or creating more space for your family, we combine craftsmanship and expert project management to deliver results that delight—on time and on budget. ![Solutions Focused](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Icons/Solutions%20Focused.png?width=100&height=100&name=Solutions%20Focused.png) ### Solutions-Focused We pride ourselves on providing creative problem-solving and innovation to bring your vision into reality. ![Trustworthy](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Icons/Trustworthy.png?width=100&height=100&name=Trustworthy.png) ### Trustworthy We value your trust and strive to earn it through clear communication, friendliness, and simply doing the right thing. ![Smooth Process](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Icons/Smooth%20Process.png?width=100&height=100&name=Smooth%20Process.png) ### Smooth Process Our priority is to provide a smooth experience—even through the tough parts.  ![Modern kitchen remodel with mint green cabinets and marble countertops by CB Construction in Seattle](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Foundation%20Images/Portfolio/Ravenna%20Seattle%20kitchen%20and%20bathroom/Modern%20kitchen%20remodel%20with%20mint%20green%20cabinets%20and%20marble%20countertops%20by%20CB%20Construction%20in%20Seattle.jpg?width=600&height=400&name=Modern%20kitchen%20remodel%20with%20mint%20green%20cabinets%20and%20marble%20countertops%20by%20CB%20Construction%20in%20Seattle.jpg) ## Built on Relationships After nearly twenty years of building and remodeling homes, Carl jumped on the opportunity to start his own company, CL Construction. This new endeavor was built on what he knew homeowners needed and wanted in a contractor. Carl’s clients were friends and connections formed over the last twenty years, a trend that continued throughout the company's history. Carl also drew on industry relationships he had developed through his years in the business, creating a network of trusted and vetted tradespeople and vendors. ![Exterior entrance to a Seattle basement ADU with an orange door, remodeled by CB Construction](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Foundation%20Images/Portfolio/Northgate%20Seattle%20basement%20ADU/Exterior%20entrance%20to%20a%20Seattle%20basement%20ADU%20with%20an%20orange%20door%2c%20remodeled%20by%20CB%20Construction.jpg?width=600&height=400&name=Exterior%20entrance%20to%20a%20Seattle%20basement%20ADU%20with%20an%20orange%20door%2c%20remodeled%20by%20CB%20Construction.jpg) ## The Team Begins to Grow Carl hired his first teammate who continues to inspire trust in our clients 15 years later. ![Seattle backyard deck remodel by CB Construction featuring outdoor furniture and railings](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Foundation%20Images/Portfolio/Greenwood%20Seattle%20kitchen%20and%20deck%20addition/Seattle%20backyard%20deck%20remodel%20by%20CB%20Construction%20featuring%20outdoor%20furniture%20and%20railings.jpg?width=600&height=400&name=Seattle%20backyard%20deck%20remodel%20by%20CB%20Construction%20featuring%20outdoor%20furniture%20and%20railings.jpg) ## The Perfect Fit While both volunteering at their daughters' elementary school event, Carl and Bob Kackman hit it off, leading to Bob joining the team. Bob's new position as the Project Manager was a perfect fit and just what was needed to deliver an exceptional experience for the larger, complex projects that clients were requesting. ![Bright Seattle kitchen with island seating and large windows by CB Construction](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Foundation%20Images/Portfolio/Ballard%20Seattle%20whole%20house/Bright%20Seattle%20kitchen%20with%20island%20seating%20and%20large%20windows%20by%20CB%20Construction.jpg?width=600&height=399&name=Bright%20Seattle%20kitchen%20with%20island%20seating%20and%20large%20windows%20by%20CB%20Construction.jpg) ## A New Chapter Bob accepted an invitation to become Partner in the company. He brought clients and industry connections in addition to 20-plus years of construction management experience. With this new partnership also came a name change: CB Construction. ![Cozy seating area with open patio doors at a remodeled ADU by CB Construction in Seattle](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Foundation%20Images/Portfolio/Ballard%20Seattle%20DADU/Cozy%20seating%20area%20with%20open%20patio%20doors%20at%20a%20remodeled%20ADU%20by%20CB%20Construction%20in%20Seattle.jpg?width=600&height=391&name=Cozy%20seating%20area%20with%20open%20patio%20doors%20at%20a%20remodeled%20ADU%20by%20CB%20Construction%20in%20Seattle.jpg) ## A Fresh Look In 2017, growth continued for CB Construction, this time through a rebranding, a new snazzy logo, and their first real website. Carl and Bob could now reach new clients to help them reimagine their homes and improve their everyday lives.  ![Bright kitchen remodel by CB Construction in Seattle with hexagonal backsplash and stainless steel appliances](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Foundation%20Images/Portfolio/Ballard%20Seattle%20kitchen/Bright%20kitchen%20remodel%20by%20CB%20Construction%20in%20Seattle%20with%20hexagonal%20backsplash%20and%20stainless%20steel%20appliances.jpg?width=600&height=399&name=Bright%20kitchen%20remodel%20by%20CB%20Construction%20in%20Seattle%20with%20hexagonal%20backsplash%20and%20stainless%20steel%20appliances.jpg) ## Efficiency and Growth A few years later, in 2023, CB Construction expanded once again. A new Project Coordinator began keeping an eye on the myriad details, allowing Bob and Carl to focus on long term company success. This was a big move that has only improved the efficiency and effectiveness of what the company does best: delivering fantastic remodels and offering each homeowner the incredible experience they deserve. 2010 2011 2012 2013 2017 2023 ## MEET THE TEAM ![Carl Lind - principal](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Foundation%20Images/Employee%20Headshots/Carl%20Lind%20-%20principal.jpeg?width=800&height=900&name=Carl%20Lind%20-%20principal.jpeg) ### Carl Lind #### Principal ![Bob Kackman - principal-2](https://cbconstructionnw.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Foundation%20Images/Employee%20Headshots/Bob%20Kackman%20-%20principal-2.jpeg?width=800&height=730&name=Bob%20Kackman%20-%20principal-2.jpeg) ### Bob Kackman #### Principal ## Our Design-Build Process 1 | Consultation We’ll meet to discuss your vision and provide a rough estimate based on similar projects. If everything feels right, we’ll move forward and start developing a detailed plan together. 2 | Pre-Construction We’ll dive into the details, defining the scope, getting estimates, and creating a comprehensive plan with a finalized schedule and costs. If you’re happy with the plan, we’ll sign a contract and get ready to build. 3 | Construction Once your deposit is received, construction begins, and we keep things tidy and on track with regular check-ins. At the end, we’ll do a final walk-through to make sure everything is perfect before wrapping up.
